The Daredevil is a cruel demon king of his domain, searching for challengers to best his grueling trials of precarious platforming and painful puzzles. 

With a distain for humanity, they're purely seen as lab rats. As your suffering is the only form of satisfaction that can please him. An oppressive, uncouth, dictator-like Mario through and through, it makes you ponder why is this putrid creature taking part of its world in the first place? But that's as if it had a choice.

Playing along is demandant if you wish for a form of mercy. If not, he'll make sure you know you never had a say in the matter.
