The failed experiment. Tally is a machine designed to be like Mario, but after an experiment went wrong, what went from a peaceful experiment turned into a monster. They took over a dark forest where they stay for the remainder of their days, and whoever walks in always has a story to tell involving them.

Tally's a tough cookie. Unless they're in sort of weird place alongside 35 other people, they'll start slashing.
Tally has their limits, if they absolutely know they can't win a fight, they won't start one.
Despite his violence, he's strangly weak. Most notably being unable to handle water.
Tally uses the Dead Forest as a way to hide from the rain.
Tally is the second prototype of the metallic Marios, after Robo-Mario, but before Gold and Metal Mario.
