Shadow Mario is... well, should I tell you?... alright, fine.
Shadow Mario is Bowser Jr.'s cheap disguise of Mario. He's still as childish as ever, selfish as ever, and loves his dad.
He competed as this disguise on Super Mario Super Challenge, which he remembers to this day... not too fond of those memories.

Shadow Mario is allergic to water!
Bowser Jr. was invited to SMSC as "Shadow Mario", hence him staying as Shadow Mario throughout the show.
